Obituary of Bill Thomson

1937 – 2025

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Bill, peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Monday  morning, January 13, 2025 at the age of 87 years.

Loving husband of Joan (nee Nighbor).

His children, Barbara Vincent, Bonnie Thomson-Barnard (Scott) and Terry (Joyce Rombouts) are eternally grateful for his love and support.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Ryan Vincent (Hanna MacDonald), Eric Vincent (Daphne Strader), Madison Barnard as well as his 2 great-grandchildren: Ella and Weston.

Bill was recently predeceased by his brother, Bob (Corrine).

He was a former employee of Gillies Bros. Sawmill in Braeside and more recently Boeing, Arnprior.

Bill was an avid antique car enthusiast. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica.

He will be lovingly remembered by many friends, neighbors and relatives.

Bill’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the Pilon Family in Arnprior.

A family graveside service will take place at the Flat Rapids Cemetery in McNab/Braeside later in the Spring.
