I’m sorry to hear that Cliff had passed. I am glad to have had the pleasure of knowing your father grandfather and great grandfather for almost three years when I worked at Arnprior Villa as the Director of Administration. He was such a wonderful man. Very kindhearted. Always worried that I made it home safely back to Calabogie. He was always at my desk the next morning asking how the drive was. My fondest childhood memories are of our summer visits to Arnprior. I still remember our excitement as we dove down Harriet Street to see you and Nana waiting on the porch—just where we had left you on our last visit. I was delighted that my own family got to experience that and meet you both too. I used to love your stories about your own childhood, but I never believed you were given a bag of stones for a school snack! Most importantly, I remember how much everyone we met in town would go out of their way to talk to you—a testament to the kind and generous gentleman you were. Love Always. Chris

Words can’t really do justice to the person you were to me. You taught me about community spirit, family and most importantly love. We got to spend 2 weeks a year together and I cherished every minute. My memories from a young boy, wearing capes together, running from the claw and camping out downstairs at Harriet street for the air con in hot summers, I would have easily spent all year every year with you. I was so happy as an adult to introduce you to my own family, to introduce them to the man I greatly admired growing up. You will forever live in my memory and my heart. Love you always. Matt

Cliff, my uncle, was a wonderful man whose love and support extended far beyond his wonderful wife Joan, his girls, Kathy, and Lori, and boys Mike, Tim and John. Cliff took care of everybody and gave unending support to my Dad (Des), my Mum (Alice), my siblings and me. Immediately after my injury in 1975, Cliff was an emotional rock for my Dad and Mum, and all of my siblings and I will always remember the gentleness with which he stroked my face and spoke to me in that warm voice when I was facing my own battle for life. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with Cliff several years ago in Kipawa, Quebec and to witness first hand the enormous respect in which Cliff was held by my Grandmother’s (Margaret Moore) family. For me, Cliff, along with my Dad, has been the touchstone of our indigenous heritage and I feel proud to be his nephew. I love you Uncle Cliff. Rest in Peace and may your journey in the next world be joyous.
