So sad to read about the passing of one of my all time favorite high school teachers. Frankie was my art teacher in grade 12. We had a fantastic art project, painting the Wakefield train. She'd regale me with stories of sharing her breakfast with a fox that would come for some witty conversation, tea and cereal. We enjoyed tea together before homeroom began. We clicked. She said I was an old soul, and I said she was young at heart. She didn't judge any of us, despite our long hair and mohawks. I've thought of her many times since the last day of school. She's forever a fond memory in my heart. All my love Frankie!

I met Frankie when I was in my early 20s. I shared a hospital room with her mom for a while and thought Frankie was the gentlest and most beautiful lady I had ever seen. I met her again when I joined the Prior Players and she mothered me, maybe not knowing that I had lost my mom young, but she had that touch. She seemed to instinctively know when I needed help with anything. She served, smiled, laughed. She was so full of talent. Oh my, how she shone in everything she did... and didn't fight for recognition, though she deserved every bit of it. I did not hear of her passing until today and am not in Arnprior or I would be there, but please know that she will always have a fond place in my heart. I will never forget her. She has had a real and wonderful impact on my life. I just love her to bits. My condolences. Special doesn't even begin to cover how highly I esteem Frankie.

Dear Dub, please accept our heartfelt condolences on Frankie's passing. She was strong enough to accept her illness and was in touch with emails, her last one on July 11th. We know you will miss her as will anyone who had the privilege of being her friend. With every visit to your place, you two were most gracious hosts. Frankie's smile and sharp wit and generosity with her great baking were standard fare at Lochwinnoch. I will never forget our last visit when she suggested that we add some Napoleon Cognac to our coffee. That was her style, and what style! We also send this on behalf of the Antique Car Club of Pembroke. Dave and Delores

My heart goes out to you and your Family, Delbert. Frankie was a friend who made me burst into fits of laughter, smile quietly, think deeply, create confidently and so, so much more . She did all of that just through our little emails because I couldn't visit often enough. A note from her just made my day and I will miss those notes terribly. She gave me a caring space in her life to pour out my heart and thoughts on anything and everything and she stuck by me with such genuine love and affection. We were all so fortunate to have had her in our lives and I send you my heartfelt condolences at this very sad time. Cathy

I worked with Frankie for 11 years at Highland Park. She truly was a multi talented woman. She had a quiet way of finding those hidden talents in her students. Many fun memories when we took the students to camp...many wonderful meals at her condo in Ottawa. A beautiful person. She will be missed. My sincerest condolences to Dub and the family.
