Obituary of Bob Adkins

With deep sadness, the family announces that Bob passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with loved ones by his side on Monday morning, January 13, 2025.

Robert Alban Adkins of Arnprior was 72 years of age. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Rogers). Dearly loved Dad of Stephanie (Tom Reade) and Heather (Bruce Gallinger). Cherished and devoted Grandpa of Spencer, Emmett, Taylor and Dominic. Dear brother of Nora Androschuk (Marvin). Predeceased by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Marjorie (nee Loucks) Adkins as well as his only brother, Thomas (Diane).

Bob Adkins was not only a loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a tireless volunteer who contributed countless hours to better the lives of others. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior where he has served in many positions on the executive while participating in branch events. He was always ready to offer a lending hand when needed. Bob has struggled with failing health for several years. In spite of it, he always managed to share a smile, a kind word and certainly a firm handshake. Bob had a beautiful way of making others feel good. His kindness and generosity will be missed.

Bob’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of the Pilon Family in Arnprior. Inurnment will take place at the Goshen Cemetery Columbarium later in the Spring. The day, date and time of this event will appear here closer to the time.
