Obituary of Betty McNab

On September 22, 2024, Eleanor Elizabeth (Betty) McNab passed away peacefully at The Arnprior Hospital, spending her final days wrapped in the love of her children, grandchildren, and family. She was 93.

Dearly loved and cherished Mom of Lindsay (Connie), Kim (Dennis Jenkins) and Jeff (Chantal). Predeceased by her husband of over 71 years, Donald McNab and son, Doug (Julia). Cherished and very proud Grandma of eight grandchildren: Evans McNab (Tanya), Kathleen McNab (Jeff Jonkman), Drew McNab, Jacqueline McNab, Luke McNab (Natasha Fallavollita), Erika Jenkins, Katherine McNab and Anne-Marie McNab as well as GG to five great-grandchildren: Milania, Sophia, Jack, Peyton, and Makayla. Predeceased by her loving parents, Kathleen (nee Wallace) and Evans Lindsay, siblings Lois, Harold, Bert, Jack and Buddy. Survived by sisters-in-law Thelma Lindsay (late Harold) and Margaret Lindsay (late Bud), and her many nieces and nephews.

Treasured and loved by all who knew her, Betty was filled with a deep unshakeable faith in her heavenly Father. She was fun-loving, a constant source of joy and optimism, and an encouragement to all.

With her endless love and compassion, Betty was always available where there was a need for a comforting hand and a listening ear. She saw each person she met as special, filled with purpose and destiny.

She taught her family to “start each day with an attitude of gratitude”, appreciate the small things, and always “count your blessings”. Leaving a legacy of deep faith, the joy of gratitude, gentle wisdom, and an unconditional love for her family, Betty will be deeply missed.
