We said fare well to you on a cold drizzling day, with a strong wind clearing the leaves from the trees; the day matched the sorrow felt, but it is also a day that brought many who knew ye to one place. We will remember you, and keep your spirit alive through shared stories of happier times. My sincere condolences to all who knew Ed and especially to his family.

My sincere and deepest regrets on your loss. I had known Ed for almost 20 years, from being his roommate at Battle School, laughing together while slinging sandbags on top of the levee during the Manitoba floods, having a few beers after our baseball games to serving beside him in Pet, I will truly miss him. Ed's smile and laugh will always be with me, it was a pleasure to serve with him and an honour to have him as my friend. Stand Easy my friend.

Ed is one of those people who leave a lifelong impression on you. For me, he was my co-worker, my boss but most of all my friend. I like to think that wherever he is now, that he is with his brother Roy, of whom he spoke so often. To all of his family and friends, please accept my sincerest condolences.

My Condolences to Jen, Parents and his daughters. I worked with Ed for many years; he was a great friend, dad, husband and soldier. Ed would always make you laugh no matter what was going on, either in the filed, in the middle of the desert in Afghanistan or simply on the ball fields in Gagetown, Ed would come up with something and make you laugh. Ed will always be remembered and his memories shall always stay alive. End of Mission! R.I.P. buds!
